About Daniela

Hi! :)  Thank you for reading my blog. I hope that through my posts on Adult Acne and sensitivity, I will be able to help guide you to a healthy skincare routine with acne-safe beauty products so that as an adult, you will finally never have to compromise between anti-aging and having beautiful skin clear of acne breakouts once and for all.

Having worked as an Esthetician for over 22 years in the Chicagoland area, I have concentrated my independent studies and professional training on the fascinating aspects of Adult Acne, Rosacea, and Sensitivity. My training began in 1998 when I studied the art of Skin Care and Makeup at Pivot Point International in Evanston, IL.  In March 2002, I took the plunge and opened my own skincare salon, Daniela's Facial Studio, in the Lincoln Park/DePaul neighborhood.  12 years later, I moved from one dream to the next, to the beautiful up-and-coming neighborhood of Ravenswood, still going strong 6 years later.

Adult Acne can be a frustrating, humiliating, unpredictable, and depressing experience.  I have dedicated my career to educating clients about adult acne control, non-comedogenic skincare regimens, healthy makeup application, and maintaining clear and radiant skin. Dealing with aging issues shouldn't have to thwart your acne clearing efforts by clogging or irritating your skin, and clearing acne shouldn't have to mean treating your skin like it's 16 years old.

Providing non-clogging and non-irritating product choices are the focus of my practice, along with sensible acne treatment protocols. These treatments are designed to calm and hydrate the skin to preserve your skin's natural barrier and restore normal function, as a means of healing acne and controlling oil overflow to prevent future breakouts.

My specialty is providing online skin care consultations with exceedingly detailed analysis through email, which also includes a sample packet of products chosen personally and specially for your own acne issues, sent to your home. Email may sound quaint or old fashioned, but right now it's still the best way to hold onto the advice and recommendations I give.  No one has to worry about forgetting what either of us have said, recommendations I make, or details of your progress.  Everything is in writing!

Thank you so much for taking this journey with me, and I look forward to helping you soon!
Much love,
Daniela
