Use this post as a handy reference the next time you go out shopping for makeup! :)
What to look for:
- Mineral pigments
- eg. Iron oxides
- Liquid foundation that says "Non-comedogenic" on the label (you'd be surprised, though; always a good idea to check with Daniela first)
- Loose powders
- Blush that has been tested for sensitivity
What to avoid:
- Products that include...
- FD&C dyes (like "FD&C red #__")
- Talc
- Lauroyl Lysine
- Bronzers that are not from pure mineral lines
- Foundations that come in stick or cake form (especially pressed powder foundation)
- Cheap lip liners in red or similar colors
- Concealer that's meant for under-eye circles and contain mineral oil (unless its used only under your eyes!)
